Hello.
I'm so glad you're here! One of my favorite things is to attend and facilitate trainings. Because of that, I've learned what makes for an engaging training and I'm excited to bring that energy to the community. I truly believe learning is lifelong and we all always have more to learn.
My Story
Hi, I'm Katlyn and training is my passion. It has been a long road to get there- I absolutely hated public speaking when I was younger- but now I look forward to training days and engaging with new people!
I attended Elizabethtown College where I dual-majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Immediately after undergrad, I went on to pursue my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. I had always thought I would work as a therapist in a correctional setting, but instead I decided to take a different route and merge my two interests of mental health and criminal justice by working in Probation/Parole with individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness. I've been fortunate in my time as a probation officer to attend several trainings and receive certification on a multitude of subjects, which you can find in the Trainings tab. I now work as the CIT Coordinator and Criminal Justice Planner, which allows me to train multiple weeks out of the year and present in numerous panel discussions for conferences.

In my spare time you can find me spending time with my husband our four-year-old triplets. I enjoy all things holiday/party planning and making special memories.
